School holidays have arrived again and although the weather is cooler there is still plenty to do. Here are a few of our favourite places to take school aged kids.
1. The National Zoo & Aquarium
Always a favourite with our kids, you can walk the grounds at your own leisure or book in for one of their many up close and personal animal encounters.
2. Questacon
Another crowd pleaser, you could easily spend all day here with so many attractions to get through.
3. Cockington Green
One of Canberra’s most unique attractions explore the gardens filled with a delightful display of meticulously hand-crafted miniature buildings from around the world.
4. National Dinosaur Museum
There is plenty to see and learn at the museum with over 23 complete skeletons and over 300 fossil displays. Roam through the new interactive dinosaur garden to get an up-close and personal look at these magnificent prehistoric animals.
5. National Arboretum Canberra
With an amazing playground and coffee this is a must see location and if your a bit more energetic why not explore the 94 beautifully manicured gardens featuring a reflective pond, outdoor sculptures, and the living artwork of the National Bonsai & Penjing Collection.
6. Treetops Adventure
Boasting over 90 aerial obstacles and 16 ziplines, suspended between 1-15 metres above the ground, our Canberra park has a course for everyone.
These are just a few of the great things to do in Canberra these school holidays. There is always plenty of options available with just a quick Google search from the many free library activities to school holiday classes.
